"Success is a journey, not a destination"

For every journey, there's a destination. And on this occasion the destination's just outside Birmingham. But traveler, don't be disheartened, we'll be tackling some grand terrain along the way.

In our 4 Days on the Road (to Armageddon) we're going around the US on Tony Hawk's Gigantic Skatepark Tour along with buddies Bob Burnquist and Eric Koston (Saturday at 4pm and again at 11pm). For a more international experience, Day Tripper (on Friday at 11pm and again on Saturday at 9am) follows snowboarders The Room and Board Crew buying a '76 yellow school bus and taking up to Colorado, before exchanging transport for a serious Soviet helicopter to go ride the mountains and volcanoes of Kamchatka, Russia. Sounds like a good idea to me...

Dave Mirra's Super Tour series runs throughout all day through on Sunday (9am to 12 noon, 1pm to 4pm, 5pm to 7pm) on a serious road trip of America ripping up skateparks and dirt jumps. Then Kelly Slater takes us on Safari for the Pro Surfer tour showing 11am on Saturday and again on Sunday at 10pm.

And the premiere of the weekend is the Armageddon Cup 2003. The UK's leg of the World Cup, it was the biggest and most crucial British comp this year with a massive £60,000 purse offered to the spread of UK and international pros and Brummie locals who turned up to compete. We bimbled over to promote Skate to Hell and saw the chaos firsthand.

It's an unmissable event so tune in or set the video for 9pm on Saturday, and don't forget. Back in reality, we've got four stops planned for our own road trip, SK8 with the GR8. James will be at Rampworx in Liverpool on Saturday 20th, Factory up in Dundee on Sunday 21st, Vert-X, Sunderland on Monday and The Works, Leeds on Tuesday to round it up.

Then back down to HQ to decide on the winner!
